Ophilia
It is not a hurricane, but still. That's a pretty impressive weather system, looking to drown all the hamlets in its path. Right now the center is sitting over northeast North Carolina with sustained winds of 45 mph. It looks like it is headed straight at Charlottesville, but the National Weather Service predicts it is going to hang a right soon and track out over Cape May, NJ.
So far, we've had about 1" of much needed rain, with wind gusts of 31 mph. I accomplished a lot of work in the garden yesterday so I'm happy to sit here with a cup of tea and become slightly dizzy watching the trees do their best blender impressions.
